Grupo Antolín Silao engaged us to inspect and sort all returned inner-roof assemblies after their client rejected them for fabric defects.

• Conducted a visual and dimensional audit of every returned part.

• Identified a high rate of non-conformance in fabric defects, adhesion and frame alignment.

• Documented failures and segregated parts into conforming vs. non-conforming batches.

This initial triage ensured full traceability and prepared the workflow for targeted rework without delaying downstream operations.

With the original sunroof-frame supplier unable to meet delivery deadlines, we contained the issue on-site by reworking the problematic assemblies in our facility. We split the effort into two specialized teams:

Team Fabric

• Devised precision cutting patterns to peel fabrics off metal frames without inducing stress or deformation.

• Removed fabric layers cleanly, preserving frame geometry and treatment.

Team Adhesive

• Formulated a custom solvent blend using adhesive-activator chemistry from the footwear industry to deactivate both pressure-sensitive and heat-cured adhesives.

• Executed a high-pressure water-jet cleaning process to flush away residues, preventing scratching or surface damage.

By containing the defect and executing a controlled rework process, we restored every frame to OEM geometry and surface quality.

Beyond physical rework, we acted as Grupo Antolín’s technical and quality advocate throughout the emergency:

• Liaised with fabric and frame suppliers to validate material specs and process parameters.

• Issued detailed process logs for full audit readiness.

• Provided root-cause insights and corrective-action recommendations to prevent recurrence.
